Our little dancers will explore the dance styles of ballet, tap, jazz, and tumble. They will learn their basic ballet positions and basic terminology in each genre as well as becoming aware of their timing, rhythm, and balance. This level lays the earliest foundation of technique in a fun, imaginative environment.

Ballet
Ballet is a classical form of dance that is used as the technical foundation of all dance forms. The class will focus on overall body alignment, technical execution, and terminology. Dancers will use traditional barre work, across the floor and center work.
Jazz is an energetic form of dance focusing on technique, rhythm, isolations, lines, and movement. Dancers will work on jazz technique with various combinations of extensions, turns, and leaps across the floor and then combining these elements with movement and style in choreography.
Lyrical combines many technical elements of ballet and jazz that encourage dancers to connect to the lyrics, musicality, and emotion of each song. Lyrical is a free-flowing movement allowing the dancer to express a range of strong emotions through their dancing.
